The Foo Fighters used their social media to remember what would have been Taylor Hawkins .
The drummer would have turned 51 this Friday, February 17th, but unfortunately passed away suddenly in March 2022, just days before Foo Fighters' performance at Lollapalooza Brazil .
In a social media post, the band published a black and white photo of their late colleague and simply wrote: "We miss you so much." In the image, Taylor appears smiling gently in front of his drum kit.
The official cause of Taylor Hawkins' death has not yet been released . The drummer was found dead in his hotel room in Bogotá, Colombia, while on tour with the Foo Fighters in South America.
The band cancelled all official commitments until the end of the year, only taking the stage for the two festivals organized in honor of Hawkins. At the end of December, they announced that they would continue performing and shortly afterwards released part of their tour schedule for 2023.
The Foo Fighters are coming to Brazil in September as headliners of the new festival The Town , created by the same people behind Rock in Rio .
