Selling music catalogs to companies has become an increasingly common practice in the music industry in recent years, and names like Bob Dylan , Red Hot Chili Peppers , and Aerosmith have already been included on the list. Will the same happen with the Foo Fighters ?

During an interview with Vulture , Dave Grohl commented on the possibility. “I understand why some bands would do that. A newer band facing the shutdown of a pandemic that maybe can’t sustain itself during that period – maybe that’s one reason. Maybe you’re at a point in your career where you don’t want to go on the road and play all the stadiums and arenas anymore, and you want to travel off into the sunset. Maybe that’s one reason,” he analyzed.

Speaking specifically about the Foo Fighters, the musician doesn't have concrete plans for that kind of negotiation at the moment, but acknowledges that he might consider it more seriously in the future. “I haven’t thought about it because we’re still making records and writing songs. I’m sure I’ll get there someday, when I’m like, ‘Screw the tour. Just take this, man. I’ll sell it to you. Give me a fucking number’,” he replied humorously.
