Bruce Dickinson commented on the possibility of Black Sabbath continuing without Bill Ward – and blamed Sharon Osbourne .

During a spoken-word tour performance by Iron Maiden Dickinson, he answered a fan's question with high praise for the Black Sabbath drummer. “I’m a big fan of Bill Ward’s drumming style, I think it’s inspired. Because he’s not really a rock drummer, he’s more like a jazz drummer playing rock. A bit crazy, but very cool. But aren’t we all on the spectrum of madness?”

Returning to the central issue, regarding Ward's departure from Black Sabbath before the farewell tour due to contractual and health issues Ozzy Osbourne 's wife and manager .

"Does Black Sabbath exist without Bill Ward? Well, that's not the point... I don't think the band exists anyway now. It seems to me that Sharon made sure of that," he concluded.

In 2005, an incident during Maiden's participation in the Ozzfest marked the relationship between Dickinson and Sharon, who allegedly organized a boycott of the guest band's show to get revenge on the "jerk and disrespectful vocalist," Iron Maiden 's performance . (See the original article here .)
