Mick Rock, also known as "the man who photographed the '70s," passed away last Thursday, the 18th, at the age of 72. The cause of death has not yet been released. In a statement made through social media, words of respect and admiration were written about the photographer, who "made the Jungian passage to the other side.".

"Those who had the pleasure of existing in his orbit know that Mick was always much more than 'the man who photographed the 70s'. He was a photographic poet – a true force of nature who spent his days doing exactly what he loved, always in his deliciously outrageous way," the post says.

Mick Rock photographed big names in rock, such as David Bowie and Iggy Pop , and was also responsible for the cover photos of classic albums like Joan Jett 's I Love Rock 'n' Roll and Queen II . In 2014, he had an exhibition dedicated to him in Brazil called It 's Rock

The statement concluded with the online post: “Instead of mourning his loss, let us celebrate the fabulous life and extraordinary career of Michael David Rock .
