Dirkschneider & The Old Gang released the single and music video “Strangers In Paradise” last Sunday, the 6th. The track will be part of the new album Babylon , scheduled for release in October 2025 by Reigning Phoenix Music .
The project consists of former ACCEPT members Udo Dirkschneider (vocals), Peter Baltes (bass), and
Stefan Kaufmann (guitar), as well as Udo's son , Sven Dirkschneider (drums), Manuela Bibert (vocals), and Mathias Dieth (guitar).
In a press release, the band commented [via Blabbermouth ]:
"Strangers In Paradise" really gets to you, an extraordinary rock ballad in every sense. At the beginning, Manuela emotionally accompanies her own vocals, then Peter joins her with an emotive voice. The song culminates in a chorus where Udo sings with more warmth, clarity, depth, and emphasis than ever before. Certainly a special highlight for all true fans.
"Mathias' virtuoso flamenco-style guitar solo leads to the powerful grand finale with the typical DATOG choruses, a fitting inclusion for this magnificent album.".
Dirkschneider & The Old Gang was born from a unique charity campaign during the pandemic and transformed into a heavy metal project. It brought together six experienced musicians, many of whom helped shape the legacy of the metal genre over the last four decades.
Previously, the band released the singles "Hellbreaker" , "Time To Listen" and "It Takes Two To Tango" to promote the album.
