BARK has just released the first single, “I'm a Wreck,” from their third album, Written in Stone , which will be released in December.
The groove metal group originating from Antwerp, Belgium, started in late 2014 and was born from the ashes of the rock n' roll band Aguardente .
Drummer Ward Van der Straeten and guitarists Rui Da Silva and Martín Furia (formerly of Jesusmartyr and Furia ) started playing and laid the foundation for a new band. Given the nature of the short, angry songs they were making, they decided to call the band BARK.
Written in Stone will be the band's third studio album, pushing the boundaries even further and transforming it into an album of extremes, where brutality meets melody in a more than savage way.
This recent work was produced, mastered and mixed by Martín Furia and features in its current lineup the musicians Ron Bruynseels on vocals, Toon Huet on guitar, Jorn Van der Straeten on bass and Ward Van der Straeten on drums.
The single for the song “I'm a Wreck” features a sound that demonstrates the raw and true essence of the band. Aggressive riffs, powerful drums, and ferocious vocals are some of the characteristics present in the first edition of BARK's new LP, which serves as a prelude to everything the audience can find on the album.
