Andreas Kisser , guitarist for Sepultura , commented on recent statements by Max Cavalera , the band's former vocalist, after he said that, even though they still use the same name, it "isn't the same and never will be again." In an interview with the Cassius Morris (via Blabbermouth ), the musician responded emphatically to the matter:

“I hope not. [Laughs] Who is the same? Tell me someone who is the same as they were 10 years ago… or even yesterday. And who cares? Who cares what he says about us? … That’s simply not part of who I am, what I live, or what I do. Opinions are out there. You have an opinion. He has an opinion, my son has an opinion. So what? If you have an opinion, speak it. You are free to do so. So enjoy it,” Andreas replied, laughing.

Andreas Kisser invited the Cavalera brothers to participate in Sepultura's final show.

Still talking about Max Cavalera, he opened up about the turbulent separation from the band's former frontman almost 30 years ago and revealed that he invited the vocalist and his brother, drummer Igor Cavalera , to join Sepultura's farewell show:

“I’m not interested in discussing who was right, who was wrong about the story and all the nonsense we went through, etc., the politics behind it all. That’s totally irrelevant. It would be great to simply get on stage, have a jam session amongst ourselves, for our families and, most importantly, for our fans, and celebrate one last show together. And that’s it. I hope that happens.”

Besides the Cavalera brothers, Kisser intends to invite other former members to participate in Sepultura's final performance, such as Jairo [ Guedz ], Jean Dolabella , Eloy Casagrande , and Roy Mayorga . During the interview, he also emphasized the importance of respecting the group's history, despite any disagreements.

“We’re not going to reach a point of agreement. And it doesn’t matter. That point of agreement is completely unnecessary. It’s just a matter of respecting what we’ve built together. It’s a beautiful story. We created something so special and so powerful. And it would be incredible to have this chance to do one last jam for the sake of the music. Everything else is irrelevant.”
