In a recent interview with the website Fatherly , Vicky Cornell shared an image of a love letter written by her husband, Chris Cornell , which had never been made public. In the conversation, Vicky spoke about grief, loneliness, and how she and her family try to keep the singer's memory alive.
Handwritten in red pen, Chris Cornell's letter to his wife reads as follows: “I write this with a hesitant hand guided by the fate of a heart fortunate enough to know true love. My heart is a resounding drum and my voice a ringing bell chiming to the world, I love you. Be mine in the joy that is lit only by the glow of our radiant love! I love you so much. Chris.”
In the interview, Vicky Cornell spoke about how she talks about Chris with her children, stating that his memory is "constantly kept in the present."
“We talk about him, we play his music, we share memories. We work on his legacy and I include my children in that. We continue the incredible charity work he did personally and through the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation. Giving back was important to Chris and it’s something we did together as a family, so we still do it and it’s what keeps his memory alive and what was important to him.” Check out the full interview.
