This week, an album that has become a landmark in the history of Metal turns 33 years old: “Show No Mercy” is in the Wikimetal Top 3!

Slayer's debut album was released on December 3, 1983, through Metal Blade Records. However, the money for recording the album did not come from the record label, but rather from Tom Araya's savings from working as a respiratory therapist and a loan from Kerry King's father.

While the recording and production quality leaves something to be desired, the album contains songs that Slayer still plays to this day, and it was the best-selling album in the history of Metal Blade Records!

Check out the videos we've chosen and leave in the comments other songs that could be included here.
