Kerry King, guitarist for Slayer, commented on the band's preparations for the farewell event of the original Black Sabbath event Back To The Beginning, which takes place on July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham, England.

In an interview with Rolling Stone Brazil, the guitarist excitedly confirmed that Slayer will be doing a Black Sabbath cover: “I chose our song late, when there weren’t so many obvious options left, but the one I chose will work really well. I’ve been working on it with my solo band, so Paul [Bostaph] and I have already been able to rehearse. We just need to get Tom [Araya] and Gary [Holt] together later, probably in June we’ll rehearse together.”

Other bands participating in the event include Alice in Chains, Anthrax, Gojira, Guns N' Roses, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Metallica, Pantera, Roses, and Tool

The event will reunite the original Black Sabbath lineup for the first time in 20 years: Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward, and Ozzy Osbourne.

A fan of extreme metal and writing. Loves discovering and introducing new bands; her personal satisfaction comes from helping people overcome musical prejudices. If someone's essence could be expressed through metal bands, this would be the lineup: Bathory, Black Sabbath, Body Count, Crypta, Death, Krisiun, System of a Down.
