Tom Araya says Slayer could have helped Jeff Hanneman more

Interview with Little Punk People

In an interview on the Little Punk People channel, Slayer vocalist Tom Araya spoke about whether he thinks about his late bandmate, guitarist Jeff Hanneman, when he's on stage. Araya replied:

“Yes, yes, because I look to the side and see Gary Holt playing, yes, I think of him. Especially when we play songs that we wrote together. He and I were collaborators, Jeff and I wrote many songs together (…) But I think of him a lot. We always end our show with Angel Of Death, and it’s a tribute to him. So yes, I think of him.”.

You always find yourself thinking… What could you have done differently at the time your life was coming to an end? Looking back now, you think you should have done more, and that's how I feel. I feel that we could have, or I could have, done more to help you
