Ariel Araya, the daughter of Slayer vocalist Tom Araya, responded to the famous family meme. The photo shows the Araya family at the Grammys a few years ago, with Ariel looking at her father with an embarrassed expression, and is captioned "You may be in Slayer, but your teenage daughter will still think you're ridiculous."
Read Ariel Araya's comment on Reddit, posted last Friday:
“I was 11 years old when this photo was taken. A lot of flashes in your face and 30 people yelling 'look at me' can be quite intimidating. I love the old Slayer. Some of the new material is 'meh'. My dad misses home. He's not ridiculous. He's the best dad he could be under these circumstances. Any questions?”
