Steve Hackett 's new studio album will be released in January.
Steve Hackett announced that he will release a new studio album early next year.
Titled At The Edge Of Light, the album will be released on January 25th. CD/DVD versions will be released, which will include a making-of documentary. According to Hackett, it will be an album that will feature “everything from guitar-driven rock to epic orchestras”.
“In these dangerous times, deep shadows seem even sharper than usual. We find ourselves standing on the edge of the light,” he commented. “The contrast between shadows and light runs through the album in many ways. The sense of good confronting evil, of light and shadows, magically connects various cultures, including the pulse of India and the rhythms of primal tribes.”
Hackett concluded: “Ultimately, the album embraces the need for all forms of music and cultures to connect and celebrate the wonder of unity in this divided world.”
