The band should listen to all of the guitarist's material
In an interview with Loudwire, Tom Araya said that Slayer intends to use material from the late guitarist, Jeff Hanneman, for their next album.
Araya said that the guitarist showed new compositions to his bandmates last year, before his death: “There was a whole song that he showed us that I thought was really good, and I told him so .” Besides the complete song, Slayer still needs to listen to all the material that Hanneman left recorded.
The bassist said that the songs have Hanneman's style: "He created his own way of creating songs, which has his signature. It's new, and it doesn't sound like anything we've written before .
Araya said that the band already has two complete songs for the new album, in addition to one that was already finished but wasn't included on the 2009 album "World Painted Blood".
