Slayer statement Dave Lombardo's unexpected from the band for the Australian tour.
In a written statement, the band said that the events described by Lombardo are inaccurate. "Slayer disagrees with Lombardo's description of events. We only agree that Lombardo did indeed come to discuss band arrangements a week before we left on tour in Australia."
The band explains that there wasn't time to agree on new terms that hadn't been previously agreed upon by the other members. "There was much more to it than Lombardo described, but out of respect for him, we won't comment further."
The statement also includes thanks for the understanding of the fans in Australia.
