The album will feature a composition by Hanneman

In an interview with That Metal Show, Slayer guitarist Kerry King said that the band has finished work on their new album, expected this year. According to King, Slayer still has six songs that will be included on a future album.

King also revealed that the new album features a composition by Jeff Hanneman: “Jeff’s song is Piano Wire, composed during the recording of “World Painted Blood”. Bostaph re-recorded the drums and Araya the vocals. For a future album, assuming there will be another album, we have one more song, but it doesn’t have lyrics yet.”

Although the song was composed by Jeff Hanneman, there are no tracks recorded by the late guitarist: “He wrote it. People assume that because the music is his and was recorded during the “World Painted Blood” era, it would be him playing. But as everyone knows, I've been recording the rhythm guitars for Slayer since the 90s.”
