Slayer will have four of their classic albums re-released by Metal Blade Records , and vinyl.
The chosen albums were Show No Mercy (1983) and Hell Awaits (1985), in addition to the EP Haunting the Chapel (1984) and Live Undead (1984) . The new releases will celebrate the time when the band was part of Metal Blade's portfolio at the beginning of their career. This period was crucial for the creation of the group's sound and for the popularization of thrash metal.
After working with Metal Blade on those four releases, Slayer signed with Def American and worked with producer Rick Rubin for the iconic 1986 album Reign in Blood
