Slayer , titans of thrash metal, launch their digital museum, Slaytanic Verses , where they offer the public the opportunity to explore the various facets of the band.
In partnership with Definitive Authentic/Inveniem , the project offers a behind-the-scenes journey through the band's history, with rarely seen footage straight from their personal archives.
For fans, Slayer concerts are unique, and the museum's first collection, Live Assaults: 1981 Through Today , brings back memories of the band dating back to 1981, showcasing their perspective and various artifacts such as previously unseen photos and several items used by the group members throughout their journey.
Slaytanic Verses will have frequent updates, with new collections and artifacts for fans to contemplate Slayer's long journey through the band's eyes, a completely different perspective than what the public is used to, and also encouraging them to "come back often," according to the website itself.
In January 2018, Slayer announced the end of the band, along with a massive world tour ; however, on September 22 of this year, they gave a comeback show in Chicago .
