Producer Ross Robinson brings Holt and Lombardo together

The news site Noisecreep announced that Gary Holt of Exodus and Dave Lombardo of Slayer have formed a joint project with Nick Oliveri of Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age, and Casey Chaos of Amen.

The as-yet-unnamed supergroup was formed through producer Ross Robinson, who brought together Holt, Lombardo, and Casey to create the soundtrack for House Of Shock, a horror house in New Orleans founded by Phil Anselmo.

Robinson got the idea to pair Holt and Lombardo after observing their close relationship on stage. Gary Holt has been playing with Slayer for the past year while the band's guitarist, Jeff Hanneman, recovers from a spider bite. Holt says that when he and Lombardo go on stage for soundcheck, something interesting always comes out of it.

The band already has three songs recorded.
