Slayer enters the studio to record a new album

Band reveals studio photo

Through a photo posted on their official Facebook page last night, Slayer revealed they are back in the studio working on their next album. The image, which shows Kerry King in front of a recording desk, was captioned “#SlayerAlbum15”. The new CD is expected in early 2015.

Slayer's upcoming album marks their history as the first released by Nuclear Blast, as well as being the first without the late guitarist Jeff Hanneman, co-founder of the band.

The band revealed the first song from the album at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards in April. The song, "Implode ," the first Slayer song to be recorded with Gary Holt on guitars and Paul Bostaph on drums since "God Hates Us All ," can be heard here .
