Dave Lombardo is permanently replaced.
Slayer posted on their Facebook page yesterday that Tom Araya and Kerry King welcome drummer Paul Bostaph, who will permanently replace Dave Lombardo in the band. In the statement, the band also says that Gary Holt will continue playing in place of Jeff Hanneman.
Bostaph will play at the band's first show on their European tour, in Warsaw on June 4th. Araya says: “We are still very shaken by the loss of Jeff, but we don't want to disappoint our European fans and we need to move on. With Paul in the band, it will be easier.”
Remember Lombardo's departure from Slayer?
The new drummer, who played with the band from 1992 to 2001, said he was very excited: “We spent 10 years of our lives together, making incredible music. For me, it’s like coming home.”
Lombardo has been out of Slayer since February, after questioning the amount of profits he received from the band. He was being replaced by Jon Dette, who had previously played in the band in 1996.
Dave Lombardo had announced that he was no longer focusing on Slayer, and had spent these months investing in his side projects, his bands Philm and Grip Inc.

Slayer will be touring Brazil with Iron Maiden in September, playing in São Paulo on the 20th, at Rock In Rio on the 22nd, and in Curitiba on the 24th.
