The event will be open to the public
Slayer has announced the location and date for the Jeff Hanneman Memorial Service. The service will be open to the public of all ages and will take place on May 23rd at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
In a Facebook post announcing the date, the band also wrote a tribute to the late guitarist: "Ever since he was 12 years old, he woke up with one thing on his mind: To play guitar.".
Guitarist Jeff Hanneman died of cirrhosis at the age of 49 on May 2nd.
