Slayer announced today a partnership with Dark Horse to release a series of three comic books, the first of which will be released this year. The story will be based on the music videos for "Repentless " and "You Against You" from the album "Repentless".
The comic book story was written by Jon Schnepp, who previously worked with Avenged Sevenfold on the animated series Hail To The King and the Exodus Downfall “I’m excited. For me, it’s the best of both worlds. I’ve always been a metalhead and a comic book nerd. Being at Comic-Con with Slayer and doing a Slayer comic is a dream for a nerd like me.”
The first covers of the first volume can be seen below, the one on the right by Eric Powell and the one on the left by Glenn Fabry.
