N ' Roses guitarist Slash shared social media last Monday, the 4th, showcasing his new album which will feature rock and blues influences.
As announced by Napalm Records on their website, the album Orgy of the Damned is scheduled for release on May 17th and features Iggy Pop , Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top , Chris Stapleton , Demi Lovato , Beth Hart , and Brian Johnson of AC/DC .
During the video, Slash says: “I’m a rock guitarist who’s firmly rooted in the blues. Blues guitar is really something I got into as a kid. If you listen to anything I’ve ever done, you can see how big the blues influence is. I always thought about recording an album at some point. And we got together and did it.”.
Second solo album
In addition to Slash's work with Guns N' Roses , Velvet Revolver , and his bands Slash's Snakepit and Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, this will be his second solo album released as Slash. His first self-titled album was released in 2010. That album featured guest appearances from Fergie, Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Grohl, Chris Cornell, Lemmy Kilmister, and other vocalists.
The guitarist is currently touring with his band, Slash feat. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, who performed in Brazil earlier this year.
