Recently, Slash spoke with Matt Pinfield and revealed which riff he considers to be the heaviest of all time.
During the conversation, the guitarist spoke about the impact of Black Sabbath on his life and, especially, the band's debut album, which Slash says marked him for being "particularly poignant" ( Metal Injection ).
"If you think about it, considering the music scene at that time, this album emerged that created what we consider dark heavy metal and paved the way for everything that came after," Slash comments.
"And that title track, that breakdown when you get to the end of the song. There's nothing ever released that's heavier than that. I can't think of any band that has a heavier riff than 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath'," he concludes.
