In a recently published interview with MNPR Magazine , Slash spoke about his view of the current music scene and revealed that he believes the blues scene is much more "vibrant" than rock.

“I love what’s happening in the blues scene. It’s really vibrant right now. I wish the rock scene was similar,” he said.

The relationship between Slash and the genre is becoming increasingly intimate. In May, the guitarist released the blues album Orgy Of The Damned , and in July he will begin his SERPENT , which will celebrate the musical style.

Speaking about the rock scene, the legendary Guns N' Roses expressed optimism about the new generation of independent musicians. "They're creating their own music for themselves. Nobody's trying to make money off it or get a big record deal," he told MNPR .

Furthermore, Slash says that a change in attitude is essential to revive the genre and bring it back into the spotlight.

“Nobody aspires to limousines and hot girls — what matters is the music, and that’s very important because I think that’s what will bring the rock scene back.”
