Slash participates in the soundtrack of the new Barbie movie.

Wolfgang Van Halen also participated in the project.

Slash , the legendary guitarist from Guns N' Roses , has been confirmed as part of the soundtrack for the movie Barbie , which will be released on July 20th.

At the film's premiere in Los Angeles last Sunday, July 9th, producer Mark Ronson , who co-wrote the track "I'm Just Ken" with Andrew Wyatt for the soundtrack, confirmed that Slash plays guitar on that song.

Speaking to Variety about the guitarist's participation, he commented: “I was in seventh grade when Appetite For Destruction came out. He’s my all-time hero. I had pictures of Slash on all my walls. So, when we were close to finishing this song, I thought, ‘It never hurts to ask.’ It feels like a shot in the dark.”

“I sent him the song and he said, ‘That’s a good song.’ I didn’t know Slash that well before that, and he said, ‘Cool, I’ll play on it.’ It was so cool. He plays the solo at the end and the rhythm parts. It’s wonderful.”

Wolfgang Van Halen also shared his involvement in the Barbie soundtrack, tweeting: “My friend Mark Ronson reached out to me earlier this year needing my ‘giant guitar sound’ and I happily thanked him. Honored for the opportunity to contribute some guitars to this hilarious/surreal/sincere film.”
