In an interview with Classic Rock, Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash spoke about the band's greatness and longevity. Check out his statement:

“I thought it was going to be something more relaxed, underground, a cult Hard Rock band that would have a certain number of followers and remain more or less stable. I certainly didn't imagine it would be as big as it became. When I left Guns N' Roses I didn't really think about what the band would be like today. I just left everything behind. I didn't feel it was the end of the band. Actually, I didn't really leave, if you understand me. I just didn't continue in it. There's a difference.”
