The supergroup Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators has already begun recording their next album, and vocalist Myles Kennedy is excited about the project's production.
In an interview with Trunk Nation featuring Eddie Trunk, published on December 23, 2024, Kennedy shared more details about the production of Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators' fifth album and the recording sessions ( via Blabbermouth ):
“The good news I can give is that the demos are all done. The compositions were written even before I embarked on my last solo tour. The easy part is recording; the hard part is composing. Slash was sending me demos of the songs and I spent time with him, bringing melodies and lyrics. Everything is done except for one song. Now, I need to find a moment to go into the studio and finish it.”
The vocalist continues: “I’ll say that in the process of recording the demos and where we were before they came in to actually make the album musically, there’s some really exciting material. I’m very excited about what’s to come. It’s going to be great.”
Myles Kennedy was also asked whether he composes for the group or if he only contributes by bringing melodies and lyrics:
“Yes, most of what I’m doing is lyrics and melodies. Occasionally, if something comes up and I’m like, ‘Hey, can we change this chord progression because of the melody?’ It’s interesting because even more so on Apocalyptic Love (2012) , when I played guitar on that album, there was a bit more of: ‘Hey, try this. See how it sounds if we use this to help the arrangement in some way.’”
The supergroup Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators plans to release their new studio album sometime in 2025.
