During a recent appearance on the TV show Jimmy Kimmel Live , Slash recalled a funny story about his friendship with Steven Adler when they were teenagers.

According to the guitarist, when the two were 15 years old, they tried to enter The Rainbow , a Los Angeles bar famous for being a rock and roll den, using fake IDs. According to Slash, Adler managed to get in without any problems, but he was stopped by security and had to go home.

Frustrated at having his night ruined, young Slash went home and decided to dress in his mother's clothes and put on makeup to pass himself off as a woman and play a prank on Steven Adler. The guitarist then returned to the bar and gained entry because the theme of the night was Girls' Night.

“You have to understand that I was very drunk,” he says, laughing. “My plan was to flirt with Steven because Steven would sleep with anything and I thought it would be funny. So I went in and gradually realized he had left.”

“I was hit by a huge cloud of reality, and it was the most vulnerable moment of my life. I've never felt that way before. And then having to leave and walk down Sunset Boulevard in a dress… It was awful,” she concluded.
