In a recent interview with Loudwire , Slash named some promising rock bands right now.

According to the guitarist, there's a kind of "rock 'n' roll undercurrent" happening among new bands, and he said it's "great" to see bands like Dirty Honey and Joyous Wolf gaining some recognition.

Both names have already toured with Slash himself and Miles Kennedy & The Conspirators during the 2018 and 2019 Living The Dream . The guitarist also mentioned the Swedish punk rock band Viagra Boys , which he says he considers "brilliant".

“There are a few more new bands out there. My son is the drummer in a band, and he’s introduced me to this gigantic network of really grounded, gritty rock 'n' roll bands that he knows,” says Slash. “There’s a real movement happening off the radar. It’s not mainstream, but it’s huge, and I’m excited to see what it becomes.”

Slash was also asked what being rock 'n' roll means to him. “It’s the blood that runs in my veins,” he replied. “I was born with it, I was raised with it. It’s an attitude and a way of thinking, a kind of freedom of expression and various other things that I embraced very early on and I can’t imagine living any other way.”
