The album is expected to be released later this year
Guitarist Slash confirmed this Thursday, the 22nd, that he will release a new studio album with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.
“I’ve been working with Myles, Brent [Fitz, drummer] and Todd [Kerns, bassist] for eight years,” Slash said in a press statement, “It’s been an incredible journey and the band just keeps getting better, which is great. With Frank [Sidoris, guitarist] joining us since the World on Fire tour, I feel like we’ve reached a really good creative level.”
Myles Kennedy sang on some songs from Slash's 2010 debut album and developed a more significant role on Apocalyptic Love (2012) when he sang on all tracks and was credited as a co-writer. His collaboration with Slash continued in 2014 with World on Fire.
The new album will be produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette, who has worked several times with Myles Kennedy and his band Alter Bridge. While a release date is still pending, the album is expected to arrive in the second half of 2018 after Guns N' Roses' European tour.
