Ryan Gosling 's fun performance at the 96th Academy Awards featured guitarist Slash and Wolfgang Van Halen of Mammoth WVH Barbie movie soundtrack , this Sunday, the 10th, alongside the musicians.

The song was nominated in the Best Original Song category, along with “The Fire Inside” – Becky G , “It Never Went Away” – Jon Batiste , “Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)” – Osage Tribal Singers , and the night's winner, “What Was I Made For?”, by Billie Eilish .

"I'm Just Ken" reached number 87 on the Billboard Hot 100 Eddie Van Halen 's son, was present . Check out the performance below.

In an interview with Billboard , Wolfgang talked about the experience of playing on a mega-hit like this: “I’m honestly happy to be a part of it, to have the opportunity to play such a small role. It was a very, very wonderful opportunity. I knew (the film) was good just from being involved in it and seeing what I got to see. But to see the song I played on blow up so much, it was crazy.”
