Rare recordings from Soundgarden have been found and released to fans. In them, we can hear Chris Cornell , the group's leader and founder, on drums and vocals.

Titled 6 Songs for Bruce , the tape is one of the group's earliest demos, which at the time consisted of Cornell, guitarist Kim Thayil , and bassist Hiro Yamamoto . The trio recorded the demo on April 24, 1985, in Jack Endino with the help of Bruce Pavitt .

The demo features a rare early version of "Tears to Forget" with Yamamoto on vocals, as well as "The Storm," a solo track by Cornell. Also included on this recording is "Incessant Mace," featuring the legendary founder on drums and vocals. The B-side of the tape, titled Zen Deity Speaks , is blank.
