Bassist reveals he wants to make a heavier sound than usual.
Can you imagine if Nickelback ventured into the world of heavy metal? Bassist Mike Kroeger revealed to Wall of Sound that he would love to make an album of Slayer covers.
“It’s the kind of music I listen to,” he confesses, “If we decided to make a metal album, we would all love it.” He also says that he doesn’t know if the band would have the time to record the covers, but it could happen someday.
According to the bassist, the music Nickelback makes isn't necessarily what the band members usually listen to. "I like listening to Meshuggah, Gojira, Lamb of God ... And we're friends with those guys."
Nickelback is currently touring with their album Feed The Machine , released in June 2017.
