Myles Kennedy 's early performances with Slash and the Conspirators , the band practiced performing their unreleased songs as a group. Meanwhile, they also performed the guitarist's most famous songs, which were by none other than Guns N' Roses .
When asked by Metal Hammer about his relationship with singing those songs and whether he missed that time, Myles revealed, “I don’t know if I miss it, but I certainly enjoy singing those songs because they are some of my all-time favorite songs. As a singer, you always want to perform songs that are very well composed, so without a doubt those songs are incredible.”
“As a songwriter, I love being able to perform our own music, and considering we’ve been doing this for a decade at this point, we’ve built up enough of a catalog to have plenty of music to choose from, and that’s really cool,” he continues. “Because of the Guns N’ Roses legacy, if you played a good GN’R song at the beginning of the show, the place would erupt. That still happens because they’re iconic songs, but what’s been fascinating is that we’ve started to realize that in the last album cycle, specifically with our songs that have been played for years now, they’re starting to get similar reactions.”
Speaking of the band, bassist Todd Kerns has raised suspicions among fans that the successor to Living The Dream may be released this year. Learn more here.
