The ceremony took place in Los Angeles
A private and restricted ceremony was held in memory of legendary vocalist Chris Cornell at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles this Friday, May 26th.
Soundgarden's bandmates were present, along with several other artists who came to pay their last respects to Chris Cornell.
Tom Morello, Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, Dave Navarro, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Courtney Love, Billy Idol, Chester Bennington, among other musicians, as well as artists such as Brad Pitt, Josh Brolin, Christian Bale, and James Franco.
After the private ceremony, the site where Chris Cornell's ashes were buried was opened to the public so that fans could also pay their respects. The marble bears the message "The voice of our generation and an artist forever," as can be seen in the images below:
