AJ was 55 years old.
Twisted Sister released an official statement today announcing the death of their drummer AJ Pero, who was 55 years old. Adrenaline Mob, the band AJ was also working with, posted a statement on their Facebook page as well.
The cause of death has not been clarified, but according to Adrenaline Mob, the drummer died in his sleep on the band's tour bus. Read the statements below:

"The members of Twisted Sister are deeply saddened to announce the untimely death of our brother, AJ Pero. The band, crew, and most importantly, AJ Pero's family, appreciate your thoughts and prayers during this time."
Adrenaline Mob:
“We write this with tears in our eyes and our hearts completely broken… Our dear brother AJ Pero passed away peacefully in his sleep this morning on the bus. We are in shock and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. It was nothing less than an honor to have shared the stage with such an incredible soul, and a legend! We love you AJ, rest in peace. We will cherish the last photo we took together forever. What an amazing night we had. We will miss you, friend!”
