Before starting the song, Mustaine announced to the crowd: “We have a new album coming out and a new single that’s already out. And we’re going to play this song for the first time, right now.”
This new work is the successor to The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!, from 2022, and is scheduled for release in 2026 by Mustaine's Tradecraft label, in partnership with the new BLKIIBLK from Frontiers Label Group .

Announcement of the end
Megadeth has officially begun their farewell tour with the release of their new single and music video, “Tipping Point.” The track is the first taste of what will be the band's final studio album and also marks the debut of guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari , who took over from Kiko Loureiro in 2023. The upcoming album, still untitled, is scheduled for release in early 2026.
The announcement was made after a countdown campaign on the band's website, and vocalist Dave Mustaine confirmed that this will be the group's final chapter. In a statement, Mustaine expressed his desire to end his career "on top and on his own terms," inviting fans to a grand celebration. To accompany the final album, Megadeth will embark on a global farewell tour, which will also begin in 2026.
