Megadeth 2nd album, The Sick, the Dying… and the Dead!, this Friday, the .their 16th studio
The Sick, the Dying… and the Dead!,which you can listen to at the end of this article, was released by Tradecraft, the label of vocalist Dave Mustaine, under the Universal group.
The album is the first with drummer Dirk Verbeuren and also the first since Dystopia, from 2016. The Sick, the Dying… and the Dead! was produced by Mustaine and Chris Rakestraw , and this production took more than two years.
During the recording of the album, bassist Dave Ellefson was fired from the band following a sex scandal involving a minor. His part was then re-recorded by Steve Di Giorgioof Testament.
On the album, the group received some special guest appearances such as Ice-T on the track “Night Stalkers” and Sammy Hagar on a bonus track of a cover of his own song, “This Planet's on Fire (Burn in Hell)”. The album also features another cover, this time of Dead Kennedys' “Police Truck”.
