Kerry King says she disagrees with Tom Araya about the photo with Donald Trump.

See the statement.

Slayer guitarist Kerry King used his wife's Instagram account to comment on last week's controversy when the band posted a photo with Donald Trump on Twitter. The post was later claimed by Tom Araya , who wrote: "Like him or not, he's the president."

King then posted last Thursday:

“Ahhh, the election… This has definitely been the most divisive and polarizing phase we’ve ever had.

My opinion on the last few days is very simple. For me, social media has more benefits than problems. We have a great benefit in having the band's social media, but it's not just that. It's not for everyone. And that's why I want to say that I prefer to talk to you face to face, so that there's no misunderstanding about what we want to say. That's why I don't post anything on my personal or band social media. With social media, there's a lot of room for misinterpretations, and we just had a great example of that.

Honestly, in my opinion, the war of words should be with people who don't believe in Slayer's message, not with our own fanbase.

Make no mistake: This isn't Kerry vs. Tom. Tom is my brother – period. Do we have differences of opinion about the photo? Absolutely. End of the world? Hardly. I LOVE the relationship Slayer has with their fanbase. They are the best in the world by far! Let's focus on our common enemies.
