The legendary band Slayer said goodbye to their fans at the end of last year, giving the band members time to work on new projects. Guitarist Kerry King wasted no time and is already preparing something.

Dean Guitars ' YouTube channel , Kerry King revealed that he has enough material for more than two entire albums for a new project. "But I'm going to go through all of this and pick the 11 or 12 best [songs]... This first album has to be awesome," he said.

King was mysterious when revealing details of the project. It's still unknown whether he will release the songs as a solo project or if he will form a new band. "Right now I'm the only songwriter, because I'm the only one writing, I'm not sure who will play with me. So it's just me at the moment."

In March of this year, a rumor circulated online that King was working on something new with his Slayer bandmates Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph , as well as vocalist Philip Anselmo , but nothing has been confirmed as of the time of this report. The guitarist also hasn't revealed when the album will be released.
