In an interview with the Miami Times, Slayer guitarist Kerry King said there is no rivalry between the Big Four bands – Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax. In the statement, King joked that for Mustaine, it still exists.
Asked if the rivalry ever existed: “Yes, for sure, when the Big Four was formed. When we did the Clash Of The Titans tour around 1990, there was no more war after that.”
“We thought we were better than everyone else. I think Anthrax thought so too. Dave Mustaine still thinks that to this day!”
