Joey Ramone 's annual birthday celebration will not be stopped by any virus, but also, no one will break quarantine to celebrate.
The celebration for the legendary musician will be streamed live today, the 19th, starting at 9 PM (Brasilia time). The broadcast will feature performances by CJ Ramone , Richie Ramone , Glen Matlok (bassist for the Sex Pistols ), Clem Burke (drummer for Blondie ), and others.
Everyone is invited to this party, which will be streamed on the Ramones' Facebook page . However, as with any live stream during the pandemic, there will be a space to receive donations for a charity. In this case, the chosen foundation is that of the birthday boy, the Joey Ramone Foundation for Lymphoma Research .
The annual celebration of the musician's birthday came about after Ramona passed away from lymphoma a month before her 50th birthday. Since then, her brother, Micky Leigh, has organized the party to remember her brother.
