The track will be part of a new posthumous album by the singer
As previously announced, a new Jimi Hendrix album will be released featuring thirteen previously unreleased tracks, including an unreleased version of "Hear My Train A Comin'," which you can check out below.
Both Sides of the Sky will complete the trilogy of unreleased songs by the guitarist. Valleys of Neptune was released in 2010 and People, Hell and Angels in 2013. The new album will feature the same sound engineer as the other two, Eddie Kramer, who has worked on all of Hendrix's projects since his death.
“Hear My Train A Comin'” is the second track released from the album, the first being a cover of Muddy Waters' “Mannish Boy”. Click here to check it out.
The album will be released on March 9th by Sony Legacy Recordings in various formats: CD, digital, and a double 180-gram vinyl.
