During an interview with Rolling Stone German Paul Stanley professed his love and admiration for Jimi Hendrix, calling him the "best rock guitarist" of all time.

The musician revealed his admiration for Hendrix while commenting on how rock, a genre with Black roots, is a territory dominated by white people, while soul is considered a musical genre more geared towards Black people.

“Well, I think that’s shallow and a way of generalizing. Without a doubt, the best rock guitarist was Jimi Hendrix. And there are many fantastic white people, for lack of a better word, who are soul singers (…) So, black, white… I don’t think music has a color,” he said.
