Part of the profit will go to charity

The guitars used by Jeff Hanneman of Slayer are being auctioned off by ESP, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project charity. Strongly supported by Hanneman during his lifetime, the project provides support to war veterans.

Each of the guitars listed on the ESP website is part of Hanneman's personal collection, having been used on various Slayer tours. The instruments still come with their original cases and a certificate of authenticity.

Hanneman died in 2013 from cirrhosis caused by alcohol abuse.
