Gilby Clarke will open for Slash's show in Brazil

Guitarist will accompany Slash in South America

Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke has been announced as the opening act for Slash's South American tour. Clarke will open five shows, one in Argentina and four in Brazil.

Slash will perform in six capital cities across the country, including Rio de Janeiro on the 14th, Belo Horizonte on the 15th, Brasília on the 17th, Curitiba on the 19th, Porto Alegre on the 20th, and São Paulo on the 22nd. Clarke will open for the last four shows, not performing in Rio de Janeiro or Belo Horizonte.

Clarke joined Guns N' Roses in 1991, replacing Izzy Stradlin. Since then, he has also worked with Rockstar Supernova, Heart, Nancy Sinatra, and others. His last solo work was in 2007.

According to Clarke's official website, dates for solo shows in South America are to be scheduled.
