Guitarist comments on Kerry King's new compositions.

Slayer guitarist Gary Holt commented on the band's new songs, which will be part of their upcoming album. Regarding "Implode ," the new song released last year, the guitarist said: "Compared to the new songs, it's nothing. It doesn't even come close .

Holt talked about his part in recording the new album: “I went to record the solos and did nine in one day and went home. Everyone thought it was too much, but what really happened is that I blew out my left wrist. The next day I couldn't move my hand .” The guitarist also shared that the new album is very heavy: “It's sinister and heavy, everything you expect from a Slayer album. There are no ballads!”

Although no release date has been revealed, Slayer's record label, Nuclear Blast, has listed the band among its artists who will release an album this year.
