Five Finger Death Punch released this Friday, the 5th, the new version of the single “The End” in partnership with Babymetal . “The End” is originally a song from the album AfterLife , from 2022.

The new song is part of the upcoming album Best Of – Volume II , celebrating the band's 20th anniversary, with a release date of October 24th. The album features 17 new and remastered tracks from their catalog, as well as two live recordings.

In a press release, Su-Metal of Babymetal said: “Five Finger Death Punch and Babymetal performed at the same overseas festival in 2015, so I was very happy thinking they might remember me from that time. I sang a Japanese lyric inspired by and based on the original lyrics of 'The End'. I spent a lot of time experimenting to find out what kind of voice would best suit such a deep and incredible track.”

She concluded: “My favorite part of the song is the tempo of the part that starts with 'Negai o kakete' right after the chorus and goes into the interlude. I loved how my voice was gradually covered and swallowed by Ivan [ Moody ]'s growl, which gave me goosebumps. I hope listeners enjoy that moment too.”
